Big Sib Mentoring Program

The Big Sib program is a mentor program for at-risk children, between the ages of 6 and 16, who are involved with the Department of Social Services. These children are matched with positive role models who spend several hours a week with them for at least one year.

Objectives:

•  Provide DSS Clients with a one-on-one nurturing relationship with a dedicated, mature, positive adult role model
•  Create an awareness of and appreciation for social and cultural programs;
•  Foster personal growth
•  Improve academic performance
