Youth Programs   If you’re between the ages of 12 and 18, we have special programs you can get involved in!   Student Action Corps: A monthly list of one-time opportunities for busy students. Hard Corps Award: Want to earn this award? Volunteers who earn more than 50 hours of service during the school year are awarded this honor! Mayor’s Award: Students who earn 100 or more hours of volunteer work during the summer months win this award. Student Action Board: A group of dedicated, creative students who plan and implement their own service opportunities. Students who win the Mayor’s Award are invited to apply in the fall. Adult Programs   Hands On Durham: This calendar is updated monthly, and includes one-time opportunities with no long-term commitment. This is perfect for those with busy schedules, or those who are new to volunteering. Family Volunteering   Our agencies generally do not work with children under the age of 12.
